Instagram suspended my account for Account Integrity. What can I do?
The short answer
Account Integrity is a broad category of account rules. It does not automatically mean you were hacked or that your name was considered fake. Meta may disable accounts for repeated or individual severe violations. You need the full notice to choose the right next step.

What this answer is based onWhat to do
Start with what Instagram actually says: does it name an account, offer a review or give a deadline?
- Keep the notice, date, your @username and decision reference, if provided. If it names another profile, record that name exactly.
- Use the review offered in the notice. Explain the specific error you want reviewed. Complete identity checks only in the official interface if Instagram requests them.
- Keep your submission confirmation and check messages about that request. If there is evidence of a hack, pursue account recovery separately; do not call a suspension a hack without evidence.

The situation
You run a small café’s page. Sign-in shows “Account Integrity” with no specific violation. In an available appeal field you could write: “I manage @… for [café name]. On [date] I received an Account Integrity notice. It does not identify a particular action. Please review the decision and clarify its basis.” Add known facts, not a guess about the cause.
More examples
“The notice names an account I do not recognize”
Instagram names another profile that, to your knowledge, you have never owned or managed.
What to do
Record the exact name. If an appeal is available, explain that you do not recognize the profile and ask for the association to be reviewed. Do not invent a shared-IP or device explanation: the notice usually cannot establish the linking mechanism.
“I have a personal page and a shop”
The notice does name one of your own pages.
What to do
Truthfully describe which accounts you own and manage. Follow the instructions for the named decision. Deleting or unlinking pages is not a verified way to reverse a penalty.
“My email changed and someone else used the account”
Before the suspension, you received an email-change notice for a change you did not make.
What to do
Use the official account recovery route. In an available appeal, give a timeline of your last access and unauthorized changes. Do not assume recovery will automatically reverse enforcement.
“My review was rejected. Is there another button?”
Instagram rejected the request and offers no further appeal.
What to do
Choose “Review unavailable or rejected” below to see what else you can check. We have not found a universal hidden form, a guaranteed repeat review or guaranteed recovery through a paid subscription.
“My account opens, but I cannot follow anyone”
You see a temporary action restriction, with no Account Integrity disabling notice.
What to do
Follow the wording of that restriction and any deadline it gives. This alone does not establish an Account Integrity account ban. Use an error-reporting option if one is offered.

We could read only an excerpt of the official page in search results. The full conditions and exceptions have not yet been checked.
Meta materials and, for Integrity, an Oversight Board decision were read. The full policy and disabled-account Help pages were unavailable; the review instructions were checked against an official search excerpt. This is a partial source review. No forms were submitted and review availability for an individual account was not tested.
Include the guide link, language and wording that needs checking. Add an official source link if you have one. Do not send passwords, login codes or photos of identity documents.
Examples are made up to explain the guidance. Meta decides individual account and content cases.
