How do I message support? Is there an email or live chat?

A ClearRules guidePublished: Updated: How we prepare guides

The short answer

Choose the issue you need help with: lost access, an account suspension, an app error or a problem with a business asset. Each has its own support route. Meta Verified chat is available in the mobile app for eligible accounts with an active subscription. We have not confirmed a public email address that handles all account problems.

What to do

Help articles, automated assistants and support staff provide different kinds of help. Access to chat does not guarantee a review or account recovery.

  1. Cannot sign in? Choose login help, or official recovery if there are signs of a hack. If the screen shows a suspension decision, start with the actions in that notice.
  2. Can you sign in? Open Help in the app. For a technical error, look for Report a problem. For a removed post, open the decision notice and request a review if that option is offered. A bug report does not replace an appeal.
  3. Already have an active Meta Verified subscription? On your phone, open support in the account with that subscription. For advertising or business assets, use Business Support Home with the required access. You can contact support or request a review if those options appear on your screen.
  4. In the available form or support case, include the account name, exact error message, date and steps you have already tried. Save the case number if one appears, and continue in that case. You do not need to share passwords or login codes to describe the problem.

Which situation applies to you?

I cannot sign in

Choose help for your password, login code or loss of access to your email or phone. If you see signs of a hack, choose hacked-account recovery.

I have an active Meta Verified subscription

In the mobile app, open support for the account with the subscription. The guide below explains eligibility and how to access support; the chat itself opens in the app.

How to access Meta Verified support
An advertising or business asset problem

You need permission to access the affected business asset. In Business Support Home, contact support or request a review if those options are offered.

Business asset support
Review will not open or there is no reply

First check whether submission was confirmed or you only saw an error. That determines the next step.

Illustrative example

Your Instagram account is suspended, and a search turns up an email address for copyright reports. Start with the suspension notice: the copyright address handles a different issue. If the review option will not open, use the appeal troubleshooting guide below.

More examples

“I subscribe, but cannot find chat on my laptop”

You opened Help in a browser and are looking for Meta Verified chat.

What to do

Check Meta Verified in the mobile app and make sure the account with the subscription is selected. If the subscription is active but the support page shows an error, save the error message and report the technical problem if that option is available.

“Will subscribing on another account get mine back?”

Your main profile is suspended, while a second one still works.

What to do

Start with the official recovery route for the affected account. A subscription is not an account-unblocking service; support depends on the subscription terms and your case.

Read Meta’s support and recovery article, including its March 2026 update. Meta Verified conditions were reviewed in official search excerpts; its full Help page and chat availability for an individual account were not checked. No general email for every problem was confirmed.

Report an inaccuracy

Include the guide link, language and wording that needs checking. Add an official source link if you have one. Do not send passwords, login codes or photos of identity documents.

Examples are made up to explain the guidance. Meta decides individual account and content cases.
