Will buying Meta Verified get my Instagram or Facebook account restored?

A ClearRules guidePublished: How we prepare guides

The short answer

Meta Verified includes support for eligible, active subscribers, including account access and security issues. It does not promise restoration or establish that support on one profile can recover another. Follow the affected account's recovery or appeal instructions, and use existing subscription support if accessible.

What this answer is based on

What to do

Before starting a case, record the affected username or Page, exact error, relevant dates, previous case IDs and the recovery steps already attempted.

  1. Identify the affected account. For a disabled account, follow its on-screen review instructions; for a suspected takeover, use the hacked-account guide. Keep appeal deadlines even with a support case.
  2. Check whether you already have an active Meta Verified subscription and completed verification, then select the correct verified profile. Creator eligibility includes age and country requirements, eligible personal or creator profiles, identity checks, account activity and required protection settings. It is not available to every account.
  3. For creator support, use the Facebook or Instagram mobile app and the Meta Verified support area offered to that profile. Creator chat is app-only, not desktop; mobile-browser support may also be unavailable. Follow the official device-specific instructions if menus differ.
  4. Check your plan's channels and displayed hours. Meta describes human-agent chat and email, with additional options in some plans. Do not assume immediate availability, a particular response time or guaranteed restoration.
  5. Explain the issue and evidence. Keep the case ID, check its status from the correct verified account and reply while it is open. An in-progress case is not an approved appeal.
  6. If support is missing, check the active subscription, completed verification, correct login, app and plan. If you cannot sign in, use platform recovery help; subscribing on another profile is not an established substitute.
  7. For a business Page or business Instagram asset, use the separate Meta Verified for businesses guidance and check the assets actually verified. Business support access begins after successful verification. Do not assume a creator plan covers a business portfolio or that every asset is included.

The situation

Illustrative example

Hypothetical example: someone loses access to Facebook but can still use Instagram. They follow Facebook's recovery route and check any existing subscription's coverage rather than buying Instagram verification on the assumption it guarantees a Facebook appeal.

More examples

If you already subscribe but lost access

The subscribed account was hacked or is inaccessible.

What to do

Use the official recovery flow. Meta's creator support article links hacked-account help, but this does not establish a guaranteed agent route while logged out.

Your account was hacked and the email changed

If someone sells a guaranteed escalation

A third party asks for payment, a password or login codes to reach Meta.

What to do

Use official in-app support and the paid-account-recovery guide. Do not share credentials or treat a seller's claim as proof of special access.
