North Macedonia — Available options

The number shows how many procedures are listed. It does not guarantee that your case will be accepted. Each option’s requirements are shown below.

Access or protect personal data (1)

  • Агенција за заштита на личните податоци (AZLP)Regional route · check eligibility

North Macedonia: ask AZLP to examine a concrete personal-data violation, such as an unanswered access request or unlawful use of your information. This is a state supervisory route, not Meta support.

Article 3 covers locally established controllers/processors and certain foreign processing linked to offering goods or services to people from North Macedonia or monitoring their behaviour there. Explain that connection; citizenship or residence alone does not establish jurisdiction. Purely personal/household processing is excluded. A ban or hack alone does not prove a data-law violation. Identify the actual controller: AZLP does not accept a request against an unknown controller.

    What to do
    1. Identify the privacy issue, controller and connection with North Macedonia.
    2. Keep your previous request, response and dated evidence; prepare the official complaint form.
    3. Personally sign a paper filing, or meet the electronic-signature requirements. Follow any instructions the web form sends by email.
    4. Keep proof of filing and your reference; answer the agency’s requests.
    5. Read the decision and review options promptly; seek local advice if there is no action or outcome information.

Data access is not account access. A company breach-notification form is not an individual complaint. An ordinary unsigned email is not a verified substitute for the prescribed filing. No submission or confirmation email was tested.

Requirements, deadlines and documents
Possible remedy
AZLP can investigate and order compliance with data rights, correction, erasure or restriction where legally justified. Filing does not guarantee account restoration, deletion or compensation. Damages and court remedies are separate matters under the law.

Prerequisites
Provide your name, address and contacts, the controller’s name/address, dated facts, earlier contacts with it or its data-protection officer, correspondence and supporting evidence. For a rights dispute, keep your request, delivery record and reply. A representative association must satisfy Article 100: legally established, nonprofit, serving the public interest and active in data protection; it must attach your authorisation. Personally sign paper filings; electronic requests must meet AZLP’s stated electronic-signature rules. Do not send passwords or recovery codes; ClearRules receives no documents.

Deadline and starting event
Article 16 normally gives the controller one month to report action on a rights request; a justified extension can add two months, with notice in the first month. This is not AZLP’s resolution time. No universal initial-complaint cutoff was verified. Act promptly and check the specific rule for the right concerned.

No universal initial-complaint cutoff was verified. Act promptly and check the specific rule for the right concerned.

Your application was not accepted

Read the reason. A case outside the body’s powers, missing documents and a decision against your claim call for different next steps. Correct the stated gaps or follow the appeal instructions in the reply. Check the appeal deadline before submitting again.

You have a reply, but the issue remains

Keep filing proof and the reference; follow email instructions and answer requests. Article 98 provides judicial protection against binding decisions and if AZLP has not acted or has not informed you of the outcome within three months. This is not a promise to finish an investigation in three months. Obtain timely local advice on the court and filing deadline, neither verified here.

Does every country have an account-recovery route?

We have not confirmed that every country has an account-recovery process outside Meta. This directory covers the listed countries, with options for data, payments, harmful content and, where available, account restrictions and court claims. Several links do not mean several ways to restore an account. We state when no suitable option has been found.

The review covers the entries in this directory. It does not establish that every possible route has been found. An accessible page, an applicable procedure and a successful outcome are different things.

How to use this directory

Different bodies handle different issues. A refused data request, a payment dispute and an account appeal involve separate procedures. Choose the one that matches your situation. The body you contact decides whether to accept the case and what action to take.

Each card shows when its sources were researched. No real complaints were submitted.
