What to do
Check ACE’s requirements
You are located in an EU member state and are at least 16.
The platform decision was made within the last six months. Check the date of that decision.
Submissions and correspondence are accepted in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish or Dutch. This is separate from the language of the disputed content.
An account, Page or group restriction must require reviewing one or more pieces of content. Being unable to sign in alone does not make a case eligible.
An internal Meta appeal is encouraged, but you do not have to file one or wait for its result before contacting ACE. If you have appealed, keep that information.
Which cases are outside scope
Impersonating another person, brand or organisation; account removals based on minimum age; identity-verification requests and outcomes.
Hacked or compromised access; behaviour-only decisions; suspension solely through linkage to another suspended account; technical or automated spam.
Content removals based on copyright or other intellectual-property claims; suspected sharing of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Check ACE’s rules separately for other CSE categories.
Check the restrictions if the same dispute is already before another out-of-court dispute body or a competent court. That is different from an internal Meta appeal.
This is a short eligibility check, not confirmation that your case will be accepted or your account restored. Read the full rules and check ACE’s current information before submitting.
Keep the notice, decision date and disputed content link. If you have contacted Meta, prepare that information. Check whether another dispute body or court is handling the same case.
Check the conditions and exclusions above, then read ACE’s current rules. On ACE’s site, choose the dispute submission option and follow its questions.
If you submit a dispute, keep its confirmation and reference. Reply within the same case and do not create a duplicate ACE submission.
ACE covers content decisions and related account, page and group restrictions on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Maps, Pinterest and Threads. You must be in the EU, aged 16+, with an enforcement decision from the last six months. Currently free; an internal appeal is encouraged but optional. Decisions are non-binding.
A review does not guarantee reversal. Do not duplicate a submission while the same case is still awaiting a response.

What to do
Open Meta’s final post decision and find the reference ID. Without it, this route is unavailable.
Choose Submit an Appeal on the Board’s site, sign in to your active account and submit within Meta’s stated deadline.
Check Track Your Appeal. Submitting does not mean the Board will select the case.
For eligible content decisions only: requires an active account, Meta’s final decision and a Meta-issued reference ID. The Board selects a limited number of cases. If the account is disabled and you cannot log in, this route does not fit.
The coordinator oversees DSA compliance and may forward the complaint to the competent body. This is not an individual appeal on the merits of a restriction or a promise of recovery.
What to do
If a reporting route is available, tell the platform about the issue. Save its response or a screenshot showing the missing option.
In the local DSA process, explain what failed: the explanation, complaint option or handling of your complaint. Attach evidence.
Keep the submission confirmation and reference number. If asked for more information, reply within the same case.
For example, a platform restricted your account without explaining why or failed to provide the required way to appeal.
The public authority CNPD handles complaints about your personal data. This route is particularly relevant if you normally live or work in Luxembourg, or the alleged infringement happened there. CNPD separately checks its jurisdiction and the complaint’s admissibility.
This protects data rights; it is not a general suspension appeal. Receiving a complaint does not mean account restoration or deletion of data. CNPD may use its statutory powers; compensation must be sought through the courts. No particular outcome is guaranteed.
What to do
First identify the data controller in Meta’s privacy notice and send a specific written request, such as a copy of your data. Keep the request, receipt date and reply. For access, the response period is one month; complexity can justify two additional months if the controller explains the extension within the first month. Explain any inability to contact the controller.
Give your first and last name, postal address, the controller and the specific processing you challenge. Attach relevant correspondence, proof that your request was received, and useful documents or screenshots. Passwords and login codes are not needed; send documents only to the authority, not ClearRules. The published procedure also requires that the same subject not be simultaneously before a court; if court proceedings already exist, check admissibility with CNPD.
The published procedure specifies Luxembourgish, French or German for the complaint and supporting documents. Ask CNPD about translation requirements if your documents use another language. This guide’s translations do not mean CNPD accepts complaints in seven languages.
Open the CNPD form through the official link. You can complete it online or print and post it to CNPD, Service des réclamations, 15 boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux. Instructions and the online introduction were read; submission was not tested. The printable PDF could not be retrieved directly during this review.
The procedure provides for an acknowledgement with a case reference within 10 working days; it does not establish admissibility. Supply additions by the deadline in the notice. There is no guaranteed overall decision time. Quote the reference when asking for progress; CNPD may not answer such an enquiry within the first two months after filing.
Keep the decision and notification date. The published procedure gives three months after notification of closure to challenge it in the administrative court; check the decision’s instructions and seek timely legal advice. Separately, GDPR provides judicial redress if a complaint is not handled or no progress/outcome information is given within three months. This is not a promise of resolution in three months.
Review clarification, 31 October 2026: the current CNPD page still links to the procedure dated 16 October 2020. That is the document date, not a new 2026 rule. Public instructions and the online introduction were read; submission and retrieval of the printable PDF were not verified.

Help limit intimate-image sharing
The service helps limit sharing on partner platforms. It cannot remove everything from the internet or restore an account.
What to do
Check your age when the image was made and the service’s conditions.
On the official site, use only material already on your device. You do not need to send the file itself.
Keep the case details and follow the instructions for checking progress.
For intimate images of you taken at 18+, including threatened sharing. You need the file on your device. It stays there; a digital fingerprint is shared. Coverage is limited to participating public-facing platforms, not the whole internet or encrypted messages. Keep your case number and PIN.

Small claims often concern monetary claims. The court may not have power to order account restoration. Consider fees, costs, deadlines, contract terms and local rules.
What to do
Read your region’s court rules. Check jurisdiction, claim limits and available remedies.
Identify the correct defendant and service procedure. Prepare a timeline, evidence and an amount based on documented losses.
Check required pre-action steps and fees. Use the court’s own form; this guide is not a court filing.
For eligible cross-border civil and commercial claims up to €5,000; Denmark does not participate. Use Form A. Check jurisdiction, court language, fees and the remedy separately. Completing a form online does not necessarily file it electronically with the court.
Your connection to the country matters, not your account language. Individual bodies have additional requirements.

Check the submission confirmation, your spam folder and the service’s case portal. Look up its stated response time. If that time has passed, ask for an update and include your existing case reference, if you have one.
Your application was not accepted
Read the reason. A case outside the body’s powers, missing documents and a decision against your claim call for different next steps. Correct the stated gaps or follow the appeal instructions in the reply. Check the appeal deadline before submitting again.
You have a reply, but the issue remains
Compare the reply with your request. If it is guidance, follow the named procedure. If there is a settlement, keep its terms and due date. If unfulfilled, contact the recipient with the case number and evidence.

The purchase must be Google Play-billed. Rules depend on product, payment method and location; EEA/UK rules are separate. After 48 hours, developer contact may be needed.Sources for these requirementsConfirmed by the source
Forty-eight hours is not a universal refund entitlement or filing cutoff. Decisions usually take 1–4 days. The 120-day period applies to reporting unauthorised charges, not ordinary refunds.Refund submission starts the response estimate; the charge date concerns the separate unauthorised-charge procedure.Sources for these requirementsPartly confirmed

The old ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025. Links still appear even on official pages. It is not a substitute for the current ECC service or DSA dispute-settlement bodies.
Does every country have an account-recovery route?
We have not confirmed that every country has an account-recovery process outside Meta. This directory covers the listed countries, with options for data, payments, harmful content and, where available, account restrictions and court claims. Several links do not mean several ways to restore an account. We state when no suitable option has been found.
The review covers the entries in this directory. It does not establish that every possible route has been found. An accessible page, an applicable procedure and a successful outcome are different things.
How to use this directory
Different bodies handle different issues. A refused data request, a payment dispute and an account appeal involve separate procedures. Choose the one that matches your situation. The body you contact decides whether to accept the case and what action to take.
Each card shows when its sources were researched. No real complaints were submitted.
