My business verification is rejected, pending or unavailable. What should I do?
The short answer
First identify the verification request and business portfolio. Business verification checks a legitimate organization and your authority to represent it; it does not award a blue badge or replace personal identity confirmation. Open the request within Meta and check whether it needs information, is under review or cannot be started.

Keep the portfolio ID, submission date, status and case reference. Supply only requested evidence, covering unrelated sensitive information as Meta's document guidance instructs.
- Open Meta directly and select the correct portfolio. Check Security Center or the product where you began verification, such as Commerce Manager. Confirm the portfolio ID. If the request concerns your personal identity or a Meta Verified subscription, follow that separate process.
- If Start verification is unavailable, check your full-control permission and the eligibility message. Ineligible in Security Center can mean verification is not required there; another product may supply its own request. Do not create unrelated apps or replacement portfolios to force eligibility.
- For rejection or missing information, read the exact reason. Check that the entered legal details match genuine records and that the listed website loads securely over HTTPS. Correct real errors; do not invent facts or claim a business you are not authorized to represent.
- Follow the requested document and language requirements. Documents should be current, readable and show the legal name plus the requested address or phone number. Meta accepts a utility bill for address or phone, not legal-name verification. Some monthly-invoicing businesses can use their owned credit line instead of documents.
- Confirm your connection using an offered method you legitimately control. Check the destination before requesting a code. If inaccessible, use another offered method or help route; do not borrow an identity or send codes to strangers.
- For pending review, keep the confirmation and check the original submission’s status. Respond to further requests. If rejected, review any appeal option in Security Center or the originating product; it is not available in every case. If access is missing, check the selected profile, portfolio and permissions. Use hacked-account recovery only for unauthorized changes or other signs of takeover.

For example, a studio uses a short brand name while its registration uses a longer company name. If Meta flags a mismatch, its representative checks the legal-name field against genuine records and corrects the error without altering the document's facts.
