Peru — Available options

The number shows how many procedures are listed. It does not guarantee that your case will be accepted. Each option’s requirements are shown below.

Access or protect personal data (1)

  • Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales (ANPD)Regional route · check eligibility

ANPD reviews complaints about access, correction, cancellation or objection concerning personal data.

Data access does not mean account access. Meta jurisdiction needs individual assessment.

    What to do
    1. Request the specific data right from the company first.
    2. After refusal or an overdue response, prepare the ANPD claim.
    3. Follow the official form and filing instructions.

Resolve a payment or service dispute (1)

  • Indecopi — Reclama VirtualRegional route · check eligibility

Free Indecopi assistance to seek a consumer-provider agreement through mediation and, where appropriate, conciliation. This is a consumer-dispute channel, not a dedicated appeal against Meta account or content decisions.

For qualifying consumer disputes concluded in Peru or having effects there. Consumer status generally concerns final use outside a business or profession; the Code has a limited microenterprise exception. Ask Indecopi to check the actual supplier, territorial connection and consumer status before treating a Meta subscription or business-advertising purchase as eligible. Reclama Virtual is not a platform-moderation appeal or an automatic formal denuncia. It does not guarantee a refund, account restoration or a sanction. Neither a payment to Meta nor the 2026 rules for overseas digital suppliers establish eligibility for every Meta dispute. A reclamo seeks an agreement; a formal denuncia is a separate administrative procedure.

    What to do
    1. Identify the supplier responsible for the purchase or paid service from the receipt or contract. Ask Indecopi about eligibility where the supplier is overseas, the purchase was for business use or the issue is mainly an account restriction.
    2. Complain directly to the supplier first, using its Libro de Reclamaciones where available. Keep the complaint copy or reference. The provider's response period is at most 15 business days, without extension; this is not Indecopi's processing period.
    3. If the reply does not resolve the problem, or none arrives, open Reclama Virtual through Indecopi's official guidance. Choose the relevant complaint type, answer the system's questions and provide supporting documents as requested. Exact current screens, attachment limits and receipt format were not verified.
    4. State the facts and requested solution clearly. Before sending, check the supplier, your contact information and supporting evidence. Save a copy of what you send and any confirmation or reference the service provides.
    5. If the online form is unusable, contact sacreclamo@indecopi.gob.pe, call 224-7777 in Lima or 0-800-4-4040 from regions, or visit an Indecopi office or Centro MAC. Ask which channel should handle the case rather than repeatedly submitting duplicates.

A qualifying consumer issue, identifiable supplier and supporting evidence. Official guidance recommends complaining to the supplier first. Meta cases, overseas suppliers and business-use purchases require individual eligibility checks; payment alone is not enough.

Does every country have an account-recovery route?

We have not confirmed that every country has an account-recovery process outside Meta. This directory covers the listed countries, with options for data, payments, harmful content and, where available, account restrictions and court claims. Several links do not mean several ways to restore an account. We state when no suitable option has been found.

The review covers the entries in this directory. It does not establish that every possible route has been found. An accessible page, an applicable procedure and a successful outcome are different things.

How to use this directory

Different bodies handle different issues. A refused data request, a payment dispute and an account appeal involve separate procedures. Choose the one that matches your situation. The body you contact decides whether to accept the case and what action to take.

Each card shows when its sources were researched. No real complaints were submitted.
